LOGIC media solutions is launch partner for the AWS European Sovereign Cloud

LOGIC media solutions, an AWS Advanced Partner focusing on media, has been selected by Amazon Web Services (AWS) as one of the official launch partners for the new AWS European Sovereign Cloud. The company is currently providing intensive training to its employees in the area of digital sovereignty in order to provide customers with the best possible support in planning, migrating, and operating sovereign cloud environments in the future.

AWS European Sovereign Cloud – Digital sovereignty for Europe

The AWS European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) will initially go live in Brandenburg at the end of 2025. It is located entirely within the EU, logically and physically separated from other AWS regions, and will be operated exclusively by employees based in the EU. All customer data, including metadata, will remain in the EU.

The ESC is primarily aimed at regulated industries such as the public sector, financial services, healthcare, and broadcasters that are classified as KRITIS – while offering the familiar AWS services (compute, storage, databases, and AI/ML offerings) with high reliability.

• First region: Brandenburg, available by the end of 2025

• Investment volume: approximately €7.8 billion in Germany by 2040

• Operated exclusively by EU personnel

• Completely separate infrastructure and billing systems

• Dedicated Security Operations Center within the EU
